More than Clicking


The Ambience of Rodentia

Getting the game to feel like more than just a clicker has many challenges if you want to keep the spirit of the game intact. You want players to not feel tricked into playing a different game, while still elevating the game beyond it's perceived capabilities. 

Two elements that  will help immensely are going to be in the creative parts, like sound and graphics. Ambience can elevate things and craft an experience memorable and unique.  

I actually started my game dev hobby in music and have most of my experience through music. I want the music to feel retro like game, and so I went to my collection of unfinished soundtracks and found some untapped gems.


So now graphics needed some changes to fit the music. The game already feels retro, but to really connect the music the background was a bit off. It needed some tweaks and so I did this:

I have a lot to do before next patch so bear with me. I'm a one man team and this is a passion project not a job. Hopefully you can get a feeling of direction and I'll continue these updates as I go along. Have a good Thursday and I'll keep you posted.
